Your generosity helps to provide deserving students with scholarship money to follow their dreams and attend college. We thank you for your continued support to Cloquet seniors.

The Community Scholarship Committee dates to 1968. In its 50+ year history, the program has awarded over $698,930 in scholarships to deserving Cloquet graduates. Last year, approximately $23,910 was awarded to 27 Cloquet students. Thank you for your donations!

Scholarships ranging from $100.00 to $2,500.00 are granted to students based on class rank, academic performance, overall school and community participation, financial need, college or vocational potential, pre-college test scores, and individual interviews with the Community Scholarship Selection Committee.

Awarding the scholarship, often the only scholarship a student will receive, is one way of applauding the graduates’ 12 years of effort and a good way to help a student begin his/her college or vocational career. The committee would like to increase the actual scholarship awards so they continue to be meaningful to the graduates. As you can imagine, college costs have been rising steadily. Assistance from the community is very helpful considering the cost of higher education today.

The Community Scholarship Selection Committee would greatly appreciate your financial support with a donation from you or your business.

Scholarships totaling $100 or more will be named in memory or honor of the person(s) you have designated. However, please keep in mind that a contribution of any amount is welcome and appreciated. We hope that this year’s drive will surpass last year’s and enable the committee to touch even more lives in the awarding of scholarships.
