The Community Scholarship Committee dates to 1968. In the past 50 years, the program has awarded over $698,930 in scholarships to deserving Cloquet graduates. Last school year, approximately $23,910 was awarded to 27 Cloquet students.

Scholarships ranging from $100.00 to $2,500.00 are granted to students based on class rank, academic performance, overall school and community participation, financial need, college or vocational potential, pre-college test scores, and individual interviews with the Community Scholarship Selection Committee.

Awarding the scholarship, often the only scholarship a student will receive, is one way of applauding the graduates’ 12 years of effort and a good way to help a student begin his/her college or vocational career.
